Transparent nylon

PA12 transparent nylon has a microcrystalline structure and is permanently transparent. PA12 transparent nylon brings excellent performance to optical glasses.

Transparent nylon is amorphous or microcrystalline thermoplastic nylon with light transmittance up to 90%.

Transparent nylon is widely used in automotive, electrical and electronic, machinery, optics, sports and other fields because of its oil resistance, corrosion resistance, wear resistance, scratch resistance and other properties superior to other transparent plastics.

Application of transparent nylon

1. Automotive field

Clear nylon's excellent weather resistance, UV resistance, and abrasion resistance are ideal for this application. Through injection molding and surface lamination molding, 50~750m of decorative and protective layers can be made on the surface of the part.

In applications where automotive interiors, dashboards, consoles, switches must look good over their useful life, these surfaces are often exposed to sunlight, sweat, grease, cosmetics, cleaning agents that have damaging effects on these surfaces.

2. Electrical and electronic fields

Transparent nylon has the characteristics of good insulation performance, high heat distortion temperature, self-extinguishing flame retardant, creep resistance, high durability, and high transparency, and is suitable for electrical and electronic fields.

Applications include switches, high voltage switch boxes, relay boxes, cable glands, battery seals, push buttons and keys, connection terminals, gears and racks. Transparent nylon does not use halogens and other flame retardants, provides fire resistance, reduces fire risk, and meets flame retardancy requirements.

3. Mechanical field

Due to its excellent properties such as high transparency and chemical resistance, transparent nylon is widely used in the field of machinery to manufacture various injection molded parts.

Applications include water, fuel and compressed air filters, flow meters, level indicators, housings, inspection mirrors, valve components, metering equipment and rails.
